- F Troop, 17th Cavalry
This is the internet home of F Troop, 17th Cavalry. It was created by and is maintained by Bob Decker, a former member and Vietnam veteran. This site has a wealth of interesting and original material and graphics much of which has been contributed by former Troopers.
The unit's Vietnam war activities are well documented with action reports, online maps, and photos together with a tribute to their fallen comrades. All in all, an absorbing web site that can be readily recommended to your confidence.
- 196th Light Infantry Brigade
This is the internet home of the 196th Light Infantry Brigade Assocation, the parent organization of F Troop, 17th Cavalry, and the other units that comprised the brigade during it's years of service.
The site features a history of the brigade, a Honor Roll memorial to it's fallen soldiers, and an online guest book with archives of prior year's guest books. There is also an "Order of Battle" listing the individual units that made up the Brigade and information on the Association and membership.
- Americal Division
This is the internet home of the Americal Division Veterans Association, the parent organization of 196th Light Infantry Brigade, and the other units that comprised the division during it's years of service.
The Americal Division web site is a well organized online resource for information about and links to the various smaller elements that made up the division. There is an extensive "Order of Battle" listing the various individual units that served in the Americal Division and a page with links to the units with web sites.
There is a lot of other relevant material and information of interest to the Vietnam era veteran and veteran's affairs together with news and information on the Americal Division Veterans Association and membership in the organization.
